Following the incident in the Channel Islands commencement of the repairs to Sea Essay were excessively delayed due to a lack of regular communications resulting in a misunderstanding between the parties involved. This has finally been resolved by the boat being motored back to the Hamble for those repairs to be carried out. Following that, to save lift in/out costs, the necessary winter maintenance will then be carried out with the aim of making Sea Essay available in the new year for Skipper Refresh and Training before running into our 2027 sailing programme.
