Welcome to the Civil Service* Channel Sailing Club, which operates a 40′ cruising yacht, Sea Essay, based at Mercury Yacht Harbour on the River Hamble near Southampton, with direct access to the Solent and English Channel.
The Club offers a range of sailing opportunities locally including introductory “Taster” days, Group Day Sails, Sea-Time and Charter. We also offer sailing further afield including the Channel Islands and France, and opportunities to learn to sail or advance your skills. Approved Skippers can charter Sea Essay. Due to the need for repairs Sea Essay will not be sailing again this year.
*The Club is one of several affiliated to the Civil Service Sailing Association (CSSA) the sailing community of Civil Service Sports and Leisure (CSSC) membership of which is not limited to the Civil Service: Staff from organisations such as BT, the Post Office, the NHS, Police Service and over 100 other public and former government bodies and agencies are eligible to join, and their friends and families can join through the linked membership scheme.
